Silicon Carbide Nanopowder Application
Nano silicon carbide powder has the characteristics of high chemical stability, low thermal expansion coefficient, high thermal conductivity, opposite resistance temperature characteristics to metal, high hardness, wear resistance, high temperature resistance and corrosion resistance. It can be applied to the following situations:
1. Modified High Strength Nylon Material
The tensile strength and wear resistance of the modified high strength nylon alloy are 150% and 3 times higher than those of PA6. It is mainly used for polymer parts of armored tracked vehicles, automobile steering parts, textile machinery, mining machinery lining, train parts, etc;
2. Improve the Wear Resistance of Peek
The results show that the wear resistance of PEEK can be greatly improved (more than 30%) when the content of nano SiC is about 5%;
3. Nano SiC can be Used in Rubber Tire
Adding about 2% nano SiC can improve the wear resistance by 20% - 40% without changing the formula of the original rubber and reducing its original properties and quality. In addition, 20 nanometer silicon carbide can be used in Rubber Cots, printer fixing film and other wear-resistant, heat dissipation, temperature resistant rubber products;
4. Nano SiC Composite Coating on Metal Surface
Using nano silicon carbide powder and nickel as the base metal, the electrodeposited composite coating with high density and good adhesion can be formed on the metal surface. Its metal surface has the characteristics of super hard (wear resistance) and anti-wear (self lubrication) and high temperature resistance. After adding nano SiC powder, the microhardness, wear resistance and service life of the composite coating are improved by 2-3 times and 3-5 times, respectively. The adhesion between the coating and the substrate is increased by 40%, and the coating is uniform, smooth and fine;
5. High Performance Structural Ceramics
