Molybdenum Powder
Molybdenum is a silver white refractory metal. The chemical symbol is Mo and the atomic number is 42. Molybdenum is a transition metal element, which is a necessary trace element for human body, animals and plants.
Molybdenum powder is a kind of refractory metal powder with gray appearance. According to different shapes, molybdenum powder can be divided into

Steel Industry
As an alloying element of steel, molybdenum can improve the strength, especially the high temperature strength and toughness; Improve the corrosion resistance of steel in acid-base solution and liquid metal; The wear resistance, hardenability, weldability and heat resistance of the steel are improved.
Alloy Additive
As an alloy additive of iron, molybdenum is helpful to form complete pearlite matrix, improve the strength and toughness of cast iron, improve the uniformity of microstructure of large castings, and improve the quenchability of heat treated castings. Molybdenum gray cast iron has good wear resistance and can be used as brake wheel and brake pad of heavy vehicles.
Automobile Spraying
The melting point of molybdenum is as high as 2620 ℃, and it has good high temperature performance and corrosion resistance. Molybdenum has strong adhesion with steel, so it is the main thermal spraying material in the production of automobile parts.
High Temperature Components
Due to its high purity, high temperature resistance and low vapor pressure, molybdenum is often used to make heater and structural material of high temperature furnace. In the production process of tungsten, molybdenum and cemented carbide, the reduction furnace and sintering furnace are mostly made by heating molybdenum wire.
Spherical Molybdenum Powder
