316L Stainless Steel Powder
316L is a stainless steel material grade. 316L has been widely used in the chemical industry due to its excellent corrosion resistance. It is also a derivative steel of 18-8 austenitic stainless steel, with 2-3% Mo added. On the basis of 316L, many steel grades have also been derived, such as 316Ti after adding a small amount of Ti, 316N after adding a small amount of N, and 317L after increasing the Ni and Mo content.
316L stainless steel powder is an iron-based alloy powder with iron as the main component, chromium content of 16.0-18.0%, nickel content of 10.0-14.0% and molybdenum content of 2.0-3.0%. 316L stainless steel contains Mo element, which makes it have excellent corrosion resistance and can be safely applied to the environment containing halogen ions such as Cl -.
Preparation Process of 316L Stainless Steel Powder
① Using high-purity
nickel powder,
chromium powder,
molybdenum powder and iron powder melted into 316L stainless steel base material according to the standard composition ratio of 316L stainless steel;
② Producing spherical
316L stainless steel powder through gas atomization process;
③ Screening and vacuum packaging.

The 316L stainless steel powder produced by FUSHEL has the characteristics of high batch stability, good sphericity, low oxygen content, uniform particle size distribution, good fluidity, high loose density and vibrated density. The powder can be used in laser / electron beam additive manufacturing (SLM / EBM), powder metallurgy (PM), laser direct deposition (DLD), powder hot isostatic pressing (HIP), metal injection molding (MIM) and other processes.
