304L Stainless Steel Powder
304L stainless steel, also known as ultra-low carbon stainless steel, is a versatile stainless steel material widely used in the production of equipment and components that require good comprehensive performance (corrosion resistance and formability).
304L stainless steel powder is an iron-based alloy powder with iron as the main component,
chromium powder of 18.0-20.0% and
nickel powder of 8.0-12.0%. 304L stainless steel is a kind of steel resistant to weak corrosive media such as air, steam and water and chemical corrosive media such as acid, alkali and salt, also known as stainless acid resistant steel. It is mainly used in automobile, mould, medical treatment and industrial fields.
Preparation Process of 304L Stainless Steel Powder
① Using high-purity
nickel powder,
chromium powder, iron powder and other raw materials melted into 304L stainless steel base material according to the standard composition ratio of 304L stainless steel;
② Producing spherical
304L stainless steel powder through gas atomization process;
③ Screening and vacuum packaging.

304L Stainless Steel Powder Application
304L stainless steel is a variant of 304 stainless steel with lower carbon content, used for welding applications. The lower carbon content minimizes the precipitation of carbides in the heat affected zone near the weld, which may lead to intergranular corrosion (welding erosion) of stainless steel in certain environments.
The 304L stainless steel powder produced by FUSHEL has the characteristics of high batch stability, good sphericity, low oxygen content, uniform particle size distribution, good fluidity, high loose density and vibrated density. The powder can be used in laser / electron beam additive manufacturing (SLM / EBM), powder metallurgy (PM), laser direct deposition (DLD), powder hot isostatic pressing (HIP), metal injection molding (MIM) and other processes. It is mainly used in 3D printing thin-walled devices and complex parts, cold and hot spraying, laser cladding and biomedical fields.
