304 Stainless Steel Powder
304 stainless steel is a common material among stainless steels. It is also known as 18/8 stainless steel, meaning it contains over 18% chromium and over 8% nickel. 304 stainless steel has the characteristics of high temperature resistance, good processing performance, and high toughness, and is widely used in industrial and furniture decoration industries, as well as food and medical industries.
304 stainless steel powder is an iron-based alloy powder with iron as the main component, chromium content of 17.5-18.5% and nickel content of 9.0-10.0%. 304 stainless steel is a kind of steel resistant to weak corrosive media such as air, steam and water and chemical corrosive media such as acid, alkali and salt, also known as stainless acid resistant steel. It is mainly used in automobile, mould, medical treatment and industrial fields.
Preparation Process of 304 Stainless Steel Powder
① Using high-purity
nickel powder,
chromium powder, iron powder and other raw materials melted into 304 stainless steel base material according to the standard composition ratio of 304 stainless steel;
② Producing spherical
304 stainless steel powder through gas atomization process;
③ Screening and vacuum packaging.

304 Stainless Steel Powder Application
304 stainless steel is the most widely used chromium nickel stainless steel. It has good corrosion resistance, heat resistance, low-temperature strength, and mechanical properties; good hot workability such as stamping and bending, without heat treatment hardening phenomenon (operating temperature -196 ℃~800 ℃). 304 stainless steel is corrosion-resistant in the atmosphere, but when used in industrial atmospheres or heavily polluted areas, it needs to be cleaned in a timely manner to avoid corrosion. 304 stainless steel is widely used in the manufacturing of household items, automotive parts, medical equipment, building materials, chemical equipment, agricultural machinery, ship components, and more.
The 304 stainless steel powder produced by FUSHEL has the characteristics of high batch stability, good sphericity, low oxygen content, uniform particle size distribution, good fluidity, high loose density and vibrated density. The powder can be used in laser / electron beam additive manufacturing (SLM / EBM), powder metallurgy (PM), laser direct deposition (DLD), powder hot isostatic pressing (HIP), metal injection molding (MIM) and other processes.
